![]() ![]() You're right the light source looks like it is showing uniformly through the gap until the teeth, when the square is actually touching them. Maybe I'm just misinterpreting what I'm seeing. Only about 2 3/4 inches of the blade is visible above the surface of the table, so in order to check it without touching the teeth, I would need a square about 2 inches tall. Install the new bevel handle onto the shaft. Pull the bevel handle away from the shaft. ![]() Maybe the problem is that I am touching the teeth. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw that secures the handle to the saw. ![]() I'm assuming that the lip is the same thickness throughout because I can't think of an accurate way to test it. I held it against a factory edge and it passed the line test, but that really just proves that the top of the lip is square with the rest, not the bottom of the lip which is what it sits on when I just have it free-standing. Well.I'm using a speed square and that's a little hard to test exactly. It never occurred to me that a square might not be square. ![]()
